Parking
Cars did not exist in the 19th century when most of today's harbour area buildings were constructed, and the Victorians lacked the foresight to provide the space for private parking facilities!.
Stay for 7 nights half-board and enjoy free use of a residents' permit for Cheyne Beach car park, which is just across the lane to the side of us. A £10 deposit applies, refunded when you return the permit to us.
Alternatively use the Marine Drive car park on the harbourside (just to the left of where the yellow boat is berthed in the banner picture above), just a short stroll along Broad Street.
Marine Drive charges for the 2011 season are as follows;
- Marine Drive Pay-and-Display per 24 hours - £3.10
- Prepaid 4 Day Marine Drive - £12.10
- Prepaid 7 Day Marine Drive - £20.80
- Prepaid 7 Day Rover - £26.90 (valid for most long-stay car parks operated by North Devon Council)
We offer an advance purchase service for 4 and 7 day vouchers, simply provide your registration number and add the cost to your deposit at the time of making your reservation and your voucher will be here for you to collect on arrival.
Arrival
On arrival in Ilfracombe come directly to The Harbour Lights and park at the front of the building (on the single yellow line). The front door is usually unlocked so come straight in and use the porter's bell on the desk by the bar. The front door is sometimes locked (all residents are provided with a front door key) in which case you should use the intercom situated to the right hand side of the door.
We will provide you with a notice for your dashboard explaining that you are checking in. This will allow sufficient time to unload your luggage and check-in to your room.
During check-in we will explain the parking arrangements and charges and provide your prepaid parking voucher if you requested one.
